Expansion and renovation of Dolphin Mall was underway in November to open five new restaurants, additional and improved valet parking, as well as 1,210 new parking spaces to the regional shopping and entertainment destination.
Restaurants opening in 2015 include BRIO Tuscan Grille and Burger & Beer Joint, as well as new-to-market Cabo Flats Cantina & Tequila Bar and Kona Grill. One other restaurant will be added in the near future.
“We are pleased to be able to introduce these great new restaurants, and convenient parking options, to our customers next year,” said Pete Marrero, Dolphin Mall General Manager Pete Marrero.
Phase 1 of the project through November converts two vacant parcels on the east side of the property (by Forever 21 and Marshalls HomeGoods) to surface parking lots, adds 360 new spaces and improves access to valet parking on the east side of the Ramblas Plaza, adjacent to the mall’s main entry.
Phase 2 beginning in January for completion in fall 2015 will construct a parking deck near Sports Authority, adding 850 new spaces; add a second valet location to serve the new restaurants; renovate the outdoor Ramblas Plaza, add new furniture, planters, ornamental shading, LED lighting and more; build 32,000 square feet of new restaurant space to accommodate five new restaurants, including:
BRIO Tuscan Grille featuring a menu of premium quality steaks, chops and seafood as well as made-to-order pastas, inspired appetizers, salads and more. BRIO serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.
Burger & Beer Joint, a Jupiter-based eatery, is a full-service gourmet burger and sports restaurant with a rock and roll vibe highlighting more than 75 beers. Menu highlight include a 10-pound Motherburger.
Cabo Flats Cantina & Tequila Bar, Miami-Dade’s first of the Mexican themed restaurants, offers true Mexican meals featuring the authentic tacos, burritos, enchiladas, guacamole and signature dishes with huge margaritas and cocktails
Kona Grill, another Miami-Dade first, features American favorites with an international influence and award-winning sushi in a casually elegant atmosphere. A “Konavore” frequent diner program is offered regular customers.
Dolphin Mall with 240 retailers, restaurants and entertainment centers, five miles west of Miami International Airport, is open Monday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with extended hours in the Ramblas entertainment area.
