Miami Christian School programs provide well rounded education

At Miami Christian School, students have an opportunity to study different cultures, perform in creative arts and music programs, as well as sports. The academic programs even include classes in Mandarin Chinese.

Chinese New Year
Recently, those students participated in Chinese New Year’s festivities on campus, giving presentations and engaging students who are learning the language from elementary school through high school. Instructor Ming Ru Chaung oversees the event and students enjoy special treats, fine art activities, games, and giveaways that relate to their studies.

North Carolina Trip
Travel is always a great experience for learning new things. Middle and high school students had a great time on their annual trip to Teen Valley Ranch in North Carolina. The students spend the better part of the week at the campgrounds enjoying activities at the site and at locations nearby.

This year, they were treated to especially cold weather as the temperatures dropped into the teens with even lower wind chill temps. The trip also serves as a spiritual retreat for the students as well as a time of bonding and fun.

Teachable Moment
As part of learning numbers in their math studies, students recognize the 100th day of school. The 100th day of the school year is a “teachable moment.” Schools hold activities that engage students in activities that promote special fun and memorable learning

Girls Basketball
On the sports front, the Lady Victors basketball team defeated Atlantic Christian in the first round of Basketball Regional Post-Season play and will move to finals. The girls have enjoyed a fantastic season and are enjoying their post season success.

Registration for the fall is now open and all are invited to our next Admissions Open House on March 14.
