1. Why are you running for this position?
“I am running for re-election in order to continue to serve the residents of this village, and to continue to be ‘the people’s councilman.’ By that I mean to continue to give them a voice in government when they have an issue or problem that needs resolution, that they can contact me at anytime, so that the services they desire can be delivered.”
2. What do you consider the most urgent issue in Palmetto Bay?
“The most urgent issue in our village is to continue for it to have the character of a quiet bedroom community, which all our residents currently enjoy. Development should be controlled, providing for the public safety, which includes traffic control, in all its aspects, traffic calming, enforcing the speed limit in our village, and maintaining and improving the wonderful parks we have in Palmetto Bay.”
3. Why do you consider yourself the best person for the job?
“This election will come down to trust, and who the voters can turn to when they can trust in the candidate, who has always kept his word on the important issues in our community, and on the important issues in Palmetto Bay, like, for example, the proposed expansion of 485 condos on Old Cutler Road, of which I consistently voted against, and kept my word to the voters from 2018.
“Also, the zoning of the former FPL property, I promised to keep the zoning at one unit per acre, and did, and also for eliminating the transfer of development rights in the Downtown District. Lastly, I have always, and will continue to ensure all resident’s inquiries are answered in a prompt manner.”
4. What closing statement do you want to make to our readers?
“I was humbled and honored to have been given the opportunity to serve Palmetto Bay in 2010, and in 2018, as your District 1 representative, and it would be an honor to continue in this role, to keep Palmetto Bay the wonderful village it is, a true gem of a municipality in South Florida.”
