Broward International University (BIU) has named Dr. José Luis Córica as the new Dean of the School of Education. With more than 10 years of experience contributing to the educational growth of various institutions globally, Dr. Córica brings with him a celebrated expertise related to technological innovation programs in education.
In this position, he will use his knowledge of technological innovation programs to draft institutional regulations for the incorporation of new educational modalities across the virtual campuses and university education portals. He will support the strengthening of these processes so that the students of this fully specialized and virtual institution of higher education can continue to broaden their professional perspectives in an increasingly changing world.
After directing the STEM Symposium Miami 2022, an event that attracted more than 5,000 attendees and whose objective was to discuss initiatives for teaching, learning and good practices in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Dr. Córica has set his sights on further positioning BIU as one of the top online universities as it continues to reach new virtual horizons, quickly adjusting to the necessary changes in the higher education environment and anticipating future needs in online education with strategic criteria, ultimately bringing virtual education closer to new generations through innovative solutions.
Dr. Córica has extensive experience in auditing internal and external institutional communications and marketing programs, incorporating social marketing criteria and scientific educational communications designs.
He holds an International Doctorate in Education and a Masters in Teaching and Open and Distance Learning, as well as Bachelors degrees in Systems Analysis, Corporate Communication and Business Management.
