Five Westminster seniors — Christian Bosque, Thomas Brigham, Sebastian Cicconi, Charis Davis and Mia Wells – have been awarded the title Commended Students by the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program.
To receive this recognition, students must score among the top 4 percent who entered the 2022 competition by taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, approximately 1.5 million students enter the competition nationwide.
“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” said a spokesperson from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”
These scholastically talented seniors also will be presented with a Letter of Commendation from Westminster Christian School and NMSC.
