The two-time Miami New Times “Best Latin Band” Electric Piquete will play Woody’s Backyard Grill (600 Payne Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166) on Saturday, September 17, 2022 during a free, all ages Hispanic Heritage Month celebration beginning at 7:30 p.m. The band is set to preview new music from its upcoming full-length release, scheduled for an independent release in the spring of 2023.
The band has played virtually all major events in South Florida, as well as several major music festivals including the GrassRoots Festival of Music Arts & Dance in Pittsboro, NC, the Orange Blossom Festival in Brooksville, FL, and Afro Roots Fest (Key West and Islamorada). Their influences are as diverse as the Miami region that birthed them, ranging from rock to jazz spiced with everything in between: funk, Afro-Caribbean, progressive and R&B.
Bringing Woody’s back to the neighborhood was of top priority for new owners Oscar and Jessica Mendez. Their vision lays on the foundation of a community’s family-oriented environment and the concept is based on providing VIP service to every guest, especially those who reside in the beautiful city of Miami Springs.
