In loving memory of Larry Hoffman

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Larry J. Hoffman, a beloved Miami leader, Mosaic Miami Silver Medallion honoree, visionary attorney, philanthropist, and passionate supporter of the arts and education.

As a founding force behind Greenberg Traurig, Larry helped shape what would become one of the most prominent law firms in the world. His true legacy lives in the people and institutions he uplifted. He led with humility and purpose throughout his life.

Alongside his wife, Debi, also a Silver Medallion, Larry shared a lifelong commitment to giving back. Their support of the University of Miami School of Law, including the Hoffman Forum and the Larry J. Hoffman Greenberg Traurig Business of Law Chair, has championed dialogue, justice, and progress across disciplines.

Philanthropy is a family affair. Their son, Ken Hoffman, is a SIlver Medallion honoree, longtime board member and past chair of Mosaic Miami, and he and his wife, Hillary, continue the family’s tradition of service and leadership in the community.

Larry’s life reminds us that greatness is not just about what you build. It is also about how you build it, with vision, integrity, and care for others.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Debi, Ken, Hillary, and the entire Hoffman family.

May his memory continue to be a source of strength and inspiration.

Matthew Anderson, Executive Director,
and Mosaic Miami’s Board of Directors
