With over 4,000 attendees, Kendall Regional Medical Center’s seventh annual Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival was a huge success. With their opening of Doral’s first ever-emergency room, the Doral Emergency Room, the award-winning 417-bed hospital decided to bring their event to the City of Doral. The Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival welcomed children and families of the community to enjoy a safe and festive day. Costumed children had an opportunity to decorate pumpkins, get their little faces painted, bounce around in inflatables, ride ponies and much more. Families were able to watch their little ones while savoring delicious food, drinks and treats for free!
This year, Kendall Regional Medical Center and its Doral Emergency Room collaborated with local elementary schools to host the Doral ER Art Contest. Thousands of students had their artworks displayed at the event and all received one of the four awards given out, the “Participation Award”, the “Doral ER Art Contest Themed Award”, the “Doral’s Most Popular Award” and the “Mayor’s Award”. The City of Doral Vice Mayor Claudia Mariaca attended and assisted in handing out the “Mayor’s Award” to those art works selected and signed by the City of Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz also attended the event in support of the talented young artists, Kendall Regional Medical Center and the Doral Emergency Room.
Kendall Regional Medical Center’s Teddy Bear Clinic also gave children the chance to bring their teddy bears in for a check-up, which included a health report and an x-ray they got to take home. Attendees were given coupons for a free gift when visiting Kendall Regional Medical Center’s Doral Emergency Room on their way home. As happy children frolicked through the pumpkin patch and families watched joyfully, Kendall Regional Medical Center’s Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival was a delight for all!
