National Pharmacist Day was celebrated in Keralty Hospital on Jan. 12 as the hospital honored the team members of the Pharmacy Department and recognized their contribution to the well-being of patients in the community.
“Pharmacy is an indispensable profession to the community,” said Evelyn Rodriguez, Pharm.D, CPH, director of Pharmacy. “At Keralty Hospital, our pharmacy team strives to keep our patients healthy and safe by simplifying the use of medications, no matter how complex.”
This team is made up of pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians who focus on patient safety and handle tasks that involve procurement, preparation, dispensing, and delivery of all medications to ensure that the patient’s state of health is the priority.
“We truly appreciate their hard work and dedication to patient care,” said Dr. Abid Chaudhry, chief medical officer. “The Pharmacy Team is the backbone of treatment process for our patients.”
