MDFR responds to fire at W. Kendall residenceOn Wednesday, Mar. 27, at 3:35 a.m., more than 15 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) units responded to a first alarm house fire around the 11100 block of SW 143rd Ct. The first arriving units found a single-family residence fully engulfed with heavy smoke showing throughout the house, with the fire coming through the roof. All occupants of the home had evacuated before units arrived on scene. Fire crews immediately began a defensive attack to knock down the fire and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
