Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Step inside the 2025 Nissan Rogue Platinum and you are greeted by quilted semi-aniline leather seats that exude elegance, an available digital dashboard featuring a 12.3-inch display for easy access to information, and ambient interior lighting that sets the perfect mood.
This isn’t the utilitarian cabin you might expect from a mainstream compact SUV. Add to that the available Bose premium audio system and you an environment that genuinely feels upscale.
The technology story is equally impressive, with Google-based software that comes standard on Platinum models. It is the first Nissan with Google built-in, which includes myriad apps and a sleeker interface than the standard system. Wireless Apple CarPlay integration and Android Auto compatibility come standard, ensuring your smartphone connects seamlessly regardless of your platform preference.
Under the hood lies the same powertrain across the entire Rogue lineup: a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder that makes 201 horsepower, 225 pound-feet of torque paired with a continuously variable transmission. While this engine will not win any drag races, it provides adequate motivation for daily driving while delivering a respectable fuel economy of 30 miles per gallon in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
The driving experience prioritizes comfort over excitement. The Rogue delivers a ride that is agreeable for commuting and road-tripping, with many buyers in this segment prioritizing serenity over sportiness.
The Rogue Platinum starts at $40,000, climbing to $48,000 once it’s loaded with options.
The Platinum offers some genuinely useful technology like Nissan’s ProPilot 2.1 hands-free driving mode. The system handles steering, acceleration and braking and only works on pre-mapped stretches of highways.
The enhanced camera systems are practical additions. The 2025 Nissan Rogue adds a 176-degree front-wide view to its exterior cameras, as well as a new invisible hood view that lets you see the road under the engine bay, which proves useful in tight parking situations.
The 2025 Nissan Rogue has genuinely improved over the years, and the Platinum trim showcases the brand’s ambitions to move upmarket. The materials, technology, and overall execution demonstrate that Nissan can compete with premium offerings when it puts its mind to it.
I really enjoyed driving the 2025 Nissan Rogue Platinum, which looks and feels great to drive. Give it a spin and tell me what you think.
