The Palace Group rated among Best Senior Living in the U.S.
The Palace Gardens in Homestead was among U.S. News & World Report’s “Best” in the nation.

The Palace Group’s independent and assisted living communities in Kendall, Coral Gables, Homestead and Weston have earned the highest possible rating from U.S. News & World Report in this year’s inaugural Best Senior Living ratings.

The prestigious news and consumer magazine recognized two of the company’s assisted living communities, The Palace Royale and Renaissance on the Kendall campus and The Palace Gardens Homestead as “Best.” Recognition for “Best” Independent Living was awarded to The Palace Suites in Kendall, The Palace at Weston and The Palace Coral Gables.

The new Best Senior Living consumer guide with ratings was created by U.S. News to help fill an informational gap and provide comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.

The ratings were determined by performance on consumer satisfaction surveys administered between March 2021 and February 2022 and reflect the viewpoint of more than 200,000 current residents and family members of residents living in thousands of senior living communities nationwide.

“We are honored to be recognized by U.S. News and World Report for being the ‘Best’ at all five of our independent and assisted living communities,” said Helen Shaham, president of

The Palace Group, owners and operators of the communities. “It’s very gratifying to have the efforts of all of our team members at each of the communities recognized. They continually strive to excel. Particularly during the challenging times protecting residents and team members from COVID-19, I have so much gratitude for their camaraderie and strength.”

The inaugural U.S. News Best Senior Living ratings and profiles offer comprehensive information and exclusive analysis of consumer satisfaction data evaluating such factors as community and activity, food and dining, caregiving, and management and staff for nearly 2,500 communities in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

For more than 30 years, U.S. News has served the American public as an unbiased arbiter of quality across a variety of important choices. Whether picking a college, selecting a hospital or moving to a nursing home, consumers go to U.S. News to research and make consequential life decisions.

“Until now, families have had limited information when comparing providers of independent living, assisted living, memory care or continuing care,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News. “The Best Senior Living ratings fill this informational gap with comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.”
