United Homecare names chair, and other officers of the board

United HomeCare (UHC), a non-profit 501(c)(3) home and community-based charitable organization, has announced the appointment of Michelle Barton King, Esq. as its chair of the board of directors and other newly elected officers and directors to the board.

They are Michael Salem, vice chair; Pablo J. Pino, treasurer; Maria E. Gomez, secretary; José Keichi Fuentes, immediate past chair, and directors Dr. Pascal Goldschmidt, MD; Dr. Rudolph Moise, DO, MBA, JD; Maria G. Lamas, MBA; Dr. Maria De Los Santos, PhD, and Kathelyn “Kathy” Zimmerer, CPA.

Michelle Barton King, Esq. currently is partner in the law firm Boyd Richards Parker Colonnelli and has worked in various settings from a boutique family law firm to private practice, as well as for one of the country’s largest minority-owned law firms in South Florida.

She has served on the UHC Board of Directors for eight years and previously served as secretary and vice chair.

Her passion and commitment to serving our community’s most needy is the impetus behind her exemplary service. As chair of United HomeCare’s strategic committee charged with addressing the needs of the community’s most underserved populations, Barton King has worked closely with board and management to drive the initiative for diversity, equity, and inclusion in “Partnering for an inclusive and equitable Miami.”

Barton King thanked immediate past chair Fuentes and Carlos Martinez, president/CEO, for their guidance and leadership in carrying the organization forward while keeping in line with its charitable mission.

“I am honored to have been selected to serve as chairperson of the United HomeCare Board of Directors and to work with such extraordinary board members and leadership whose outstanding commitment of time and talent and passion to serve UHC’s mission of caring is truly an inspiration for me personally,” Barton King said.
