It’s definitely summer in Miami Beach! It’s that time of year that locals, families and our children invade the Beach. Our social calendars fill with weekend getaways and activities to keep the kids occupied. Though we may feel as busy as ever, please remember to support your local small businesses during their off season. The summer months tend to be the slowest for local businesses and we should make it a priority to support them during these trying months.
However, at the Chamber, we don’t slow down. Our active councils are still meeting, planning events and networking. For example, the Emerging Leadership Council is busy organizing one of the flagship events for the Chamber – the Champions of Business Panel Discussion. Held in late August, the purpose of this event is to educate an audience on secrets of successful business development through a panel of distinguished individuals that have made recent leaps of progress in their respective businesses &/or careers. Past panelists have included Joshua Wallack from Mango’s Tropical Café, David Sugarman the CEO of SugarTime Sports and Alex Havenick from Magic City Casino.
