One Change, Inc. is a nonprofit organization started in January 2018 by a few good friends to increase education and awareness of the dangers of sun exposure. One Change has created bracelets with beads that change colors when exposed to UV rays. This change acts as a visual reminder to apply sunscreen. All  proceeds from the sale of these bracelets go towards Melanoma Research.

Protecting your skin can be ONE CHANGE that makes a big difference and helps prevent skin cancer. There are many ways to prevent melanoma and other skin cancers, but it must start at a young age. It is our mission to spread the word to children and adults, hopefully decreasing one of the few preventable cancers.

With the common goal of reducing the incidence rate of melanoma, One Change has joined forces with Miggy’s Gift to organize a mile walk to promote healthy skin care. The Founder of Miggy’s Gift, Marilu, lost her son to Melanoma last November, at the young age of 29. Now she is committed to raising awareness and stopping one of the fastest growing cancers in the United States. Early education and detection is key to preventing Melanoma.

Join us on November 11th, 2018 at beautiful Coral Reef Park to walk a mile, enjoy entertainment & refreshments, learn more about melanoma and our efforts, and be part of the fight against Melanoma!

Registration for walkers and donor opportunities to support the event is possible through www.onechangebracelets.org/melanoma-mile
