2024 Hyundai Tucson rocks black like a star

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Starting at $27,500, the Hyundai Tucson has a 187-horsepower engine that delivers great mileage.

We are talking about 32 miles per gallon on the highway, which is very good, for the front wheel drive version. And it offers 25 miles per gallon in the city. That’s a combined mile-per-gallon of 28.

There are no design frills, but I like that because this is a family car. The mileage does the talking for the Hyundai Tucson. Not to mention the SUV comes with an excellent warranty, which runs for 10 years, and 100,000 miles on the powertrain.

And, maintenance is now included with your purchase. What’s included, you might ask?

Well, engine oil and oil filter changes, tire rotations and multi-point inspections. With everything costing so much these days, it’s nice not to worry about paying for simple maintenance.

All of these savings including on mileage and maintenance can have a big impact on your wallet, which I love.

Starting at the front of the vehicle, I like the grille, which looks like it has got wings on the edges. The wing-looking details are located just inside the driving lights, which are relatively narrow, but clear.

I really like that the Hyundai Tucson has features you would expect in a much more expensive car like the available panoramic moonroof. The upholstery feels great on the fingertips and the 10.25-inch touchscreen is one of the sharpest and best looking in the business. The instrument cluster also is 10.25 inches wide.

I like the available all-black interior, which makes the inside look classy and well put together, especially when the ambient lighting kicks in.

On the outside, the grille is black and includes a black logo to match, if that’s what you like. The Hyundai Tucson features 19-inch black alloy wheels, which offers great personality and is very much in line with the look of the grille, the available side steps and the available black exterior side mirrors.

The XRT trim starts at $34,325, comes with its own special badging and includes H-Tex Trimmed Seats, 8-way power driver and lumbar support for drivers, heating features in the front, a leather wrapped steering wheel, onboard navigation, dynamic voice recognition and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

I really enjoyed driving the 2024 Hyundai Tucson, which gives you lots of bang for your buck. Give it a spin and tell me what you think.
