Longtime Miami resident and highly experienced public servant Alina Garcia is extremely well-qualified and ready to serve as State Representative for District 115 of the Florida House of Representatives.
We have witnessed how this small-business owner with 30 years of community involvement and leadership strives for excellence in everything she sets out to accomplish. For this and much more, we endorse Garcia in this key election.
House District 115 covers a diverse portion of Miami-Dade, including the coastal municipalities of Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, Pinecrest, and the unincorporated neighborhoods of The Falls, Kendall, and Westchester.
Garcia pledges to provide meaningful relief to homeowners through property insurance reform, advocate for policies that foster a favorable business climate, fight to keep taxes low, and invest in Florida’s students in order to create a stronger and better prepared work force.
She also will work to double the Homestead Exception, sponsor legislation to reduce Florida’s has tax, and provide first responders with essential tools to protect the community.
Garcia has been active in public service at every level, having served under U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo, Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo, and Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis.
