Coldwell Banker realtor Eric Torrente seems to have found his professional niche.

Though he’s relatively new to the residential real estate sales industry, having started his career in 2018, Torrente, 26, has already won some impressive awards. He received the Coldwell Banker Southeast Region’s Rookie of the Year Award, followed by a Sterling Award in 2019. Last year he was honored with Coldwell Banker’s prestigious International Diamond Society Award for selling nearly $10 million in real estate.

“When you genuinely like what you do, it makes things so much easier to do well,” says Torrente about his career. “I have always wanted to make an impact on someone’s life. It gives me pleasure to see the happiness that results from a big decision like buying a home, and I am fortunate to be part of it.”

After attending Westminster Christian School, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team, Torrente played ball at Tusculum College in Alabama, followed by two years at St. Thomas University. He realized that the discipline and work ethic he’d developed as a collegiate athlete could serve him well in the business world.

According to Torrente’s baseball coach at Westminster Christian School, Emil Castellanos, Torrente was a hard-working player.

“Eric was a great baseball player and was always motivated and self-driven,” says Castellanos. “That is what made him stand out.”

After college, Torrente began a career as a real estate agent and it wasn’t long before he received a job offer from Coldwell Banker. With family friend Jeffrey Lehman already working there as an agent, Torrente accepted immediately.

“Jeff was my friend and mentor and he had a huge influence on me,” says Torrente. “He had a great attitude and charisma and a big part of who I am is a result of watching and learning from Jeff.”

After Lehman passed away unexpectedly in 2020, Torrente began working more closely with Coldwell Banker’s Broker, Susy Corona, who has noticed the young agent’s rising star.

“Eric has the dedication, the drive and the work ethic we all admire,” says Corona. “He continues to focus on customer satisfaction and personal growth.”

Torrente recognizes that in real estate, having patience and perseverance are important virtues.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day,” he says. “In real estate, there are times when things are slow, but then there will be a month when you close five or six sales. You have to keep rolling and be patient. I’m proud of what I have accomplished and my goal is to get better. So far, so good.”
