Panter, Panter & Sampedro chose Emilee Garcia of Miami Killian Senior High School as the 2021 recipient of the Lorraine Silverstein Law Studies Scholarship. The scholarship was presented to Garcia during the Miami Killian Senior High School Awards Ceremony, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Garcia demonstrated a strong commitment to the law program throughout her entire high school career. She participated at the highest level in all aspects of the Miami Killian law program with pride and scholarship including Mock Trial, We the People, and Moot Court.
“This award represents our commitment to the next generation,” says Mitchell Panter, managing partner of Panter, Panter, & Sampedro. “Students like Emilee Garcia are our future co-counsels, opposing counsels, judges, and community members. Emilee Garcia was thrilled to receive the scholarship.
“I’ve participated in the We The People Law Competition where Mr. Panter gave us pointers about how to respond and approach certain topics,” said Garcia. “Mr. Panter was always kind and really made an effort to teach us. When I found out Panter, Panter & Sampedro was awarding me the scholarship, I was super excited to know that my hard work paid off and that some of my knowledge came from Mr. Panter himself. In the fall, I plan to continue my education at Miami Dade Honors College, where I’ll be majoring in political science, in hopes to one day become an attorney.
