A view of the web chat assistant

The Village of Pinecrest has introduced Pinestein, a new, fully integrated web chat assistant developed in partnership with Citibot, a leader in AI-powered chat solutions for local government. Available 24/7 on the Village’s website (www.pinecrest-fl.gov), this smart assistant empowers residents to get instant answers, submit service requests, and connect directly with Village staff.

Pinestein, powered by cutting-edge generative AI, is equipped to handle routine questions and provide support with speed and accuracy. With the ability to communicate in more than 75 languages, it ensures inclusive and equitable access to government services for Pinecrest’s diverse community.

Residents can access Pinestein by visiting the Village website and clicking the chat icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, available on both desktop and mobile. The assistant greets users and prompts them to type in their questions. If a resident needs additional help, they can request to speak directly with Village staff through the chat.

“We’re always looking for ways to make it easier for our residents to connect with us,” said Pinecrest Mayor Joseph Corradino. “Pinestein gives our community 24/7 access to Village Hall, whether it’s getting a quick answer, submitting a service request, or finding the right department. It’s smart, fast, and inclusive, just like Pinecrest.”

Pinecrest is one of the first municipalities in Florida to implement Citibot’s AI-powered customer service technology. This partnership reflects the Village’s forward-thinking approach to innovation, technology, and community engagement.
