Shane Reilly, featured in a Positive People of Pinecrest story when he was a high school student, is now a Midshipman 2nd Class in the Navy ROTC at Purdue University. Shane spent a month of his summer aboard the USS Chung-Hoon (DDG-93) participating in the 2016 RIMPAC off Hawaii. RIMPAC stands for Rim of the Pacific Exercise, the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise. Twenty-six nations, 45 surface ships, five submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel participated.
