Four Seasons Cultural Series Opens with Maestro Grzegorz Nowak on Oct. 17

The City of Sunny Isles Beach is excited to begin the fourth year of this cultural series, with the Florida International University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Maestro Grzegorz Nowak. The group will perform at Heritage Park (19200 Collins Avenue) at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

Florida International University and the City of Sunny Isles Beach enjoy a unique partnership of cultural exchange and one aspect of that is the FIU Symphony Orchestra. The students and faculty of the university’s music department show off their talent here on a regular basis, to the residents’ delight. This unique program will feature soloist Robert Davidovici performing Partita for Violin and Orchestra by Witold Lutoslawski, Violin Concerto No. 2, Op. 61 by Karol Szymanowski, Paul Kletzki’s Violin Concerto and Stanislaw Moniuszko’s Bajka (Fairy Tale). New this year is the chance for residents holding a Resident ID Card to attend all the concerts in the series for free. Concert goers without a Resident ID card will be charged a nominal $5 fee to enjoy each world class performance.

Parking for this event will be available at the Heritage Park parking garage, as well as under the William Lehman Causeway.
