Heartfelt Thanks! As I am writing this, we are 2 weeks away from Election Day. I believe in my heart that it is going to go the way I want it to; however, it the event that the unthinkable happens, I would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of the residents who did cast their vote for me this year, as well as all to residents of our great city for allowing me to represent you for the past four years. As we have changed the City’s newspaper publishing cycle, I wanted to make sure I got my thank you message in while I had the chance.
Annual Thanksgiving Event: As you may know, we are now publishing the Community Newspaper every other month in an effort to save money in the City’s budget. With November here already, I want to remind everyone that the Annual Thanksgiving Event will be held on Tuesday November 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Saunders Park. This much anticipated annual event is free and open to the public. If you are in need of a free turkey, you must be a West Park Resident and you must contact City Hall to have your name added to the list. No Turkeys will be given if your name does not appear on the pre-registration list and without proof of West Park residency.
Holiday Wishes: I would like to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season! If you have not already done so, please log onto the City website at www.cityofwestpark.org and register to receive email and text updates so that you don’t miss any of the upcoming events. This is part of our new communication plan with the residents to help keep you informed and engaged.
Upcoming City Commission Meetings: There is only one City Commission meeting in December to be held on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. Also, as the New Year begins on Tuesday, January 1, the Commission agreed last month to only hold one meeting in January, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
