Conde Contemporary: Project Space (CCPS) is excited to announce its participation in Spectrum Miami during Miami Art Week, December 6 -10, located at 1700 NE 2nd Avenue in Booth 807.
CCPS, the special projects arm of Conde Contemporary is featuring a solo exhibition of the French artist Géraldine LALY.
LALY is a master of chroma, working with intense pigment to create a range of colors which blend on the canvas from the sublime to the dramatic, in the most understated and joyous ways. Her works all express some level of abstraction, though the figurative is never abandoned completely.
Geraldine started out at the Grande Chaumière Academy in Paris, the workshop of notorious painters such as Gauguin, Modigliani, Lhote… and then mastered her technique at the Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
After several exhibitions, she decided to become a professional painter. Even when she is not painting, her creative spirit wanders. Geraldine easily switches from paint brushes to a camera with her eyes still on the alert.
Back at the workshop, photos and paintings intertwine through the making of collages and the working of materials. They become one in subtle alchemy.
Geraldine sees every day of her life as an artist, as an adventure and a blessing.
