Jewish Community Services of South Florida and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation recently partnered to hold JCS’s annual Milk & Honey event held on Sunday, September 13th. Due to the pandemic, their innovative professional team transformed this event into a drive-thru and drop-off contactless experience. Volunteers of all ages were welcomed to drive by one of their pick-up locations, receive Rosh Hashanah food baskets, and travel to make contactless front-door deliveries to homebound seniors in need and Holocaust Survivors.
Jonathan Raiffe, JCS Chairman of the Board, said, “During these challenging times, JCS’s Milk & Honey event is a unique opportunity to show our collective commitment to creating healthy communities by delivering nutritionally balanced meals to homebound seniors and Holocaust Survivor. JCS is deeply grateful for the generosity and thoughtfulness of our donors and volunteers that support the most vulnerable members of our community. “
