When Gladys Mezrahi, former Aventura Commissioner and founder of Power of the Heels Foundation created the “LovingMeMore” project, she had a goal in mind: To create social change by disrupting the poverty cycle for the betterment of society by educating and empowering women.
At the second project meeting with 40 young girls and 20 Moms, Mezrahi said, “The execution of this type of event takes many hands and many people. People who do magic by teaching us how to dance, like Stefan Ilies from @letsdancemiami to get the day started with our girls. The future begins with empowering the women of the future, the ability to express themselves, laugh, socialize and exercise at the same time.”
Each project session provides valuable lessons on useful topics like the recent resume writing and interview skills to get your first job presented by Scott Singer a professional resume writer and career coach member of Forbes Coaches Council. North Miami Beach Vice Mayor Daniela Jean shared her empowering and inspirational story and Janet Gonzalez with Northwestern Mutual and president of South Beach BNI spoke about what a budget is and how to start one.
“This is our commitment from us at The Power of The Heels Foundation. We could not do this without the support and help of wonderful people and organizations that have partnered with us. Thank you to the Aventura Library, Carolina Rodriguez and Tammy Herskowich for providing our lunch today and Nancy Meister from Chai Tees for the t-shirts that bring us together. “
