With Miami’s mild winter weather that brings residents and visitors out at night, the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID) is adding a touch of spark to the season. Families are invited to experience the new #GroveGlow lighting installation unveiled inside Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd.
Visitors can take a stroll through the park in the evening underneath the new lighting installation comprised of dozens of spheres made from grape vines and LED lights that hang from the park’s majestic trees lighting up the night sky. Perfect for a family outing and a great “my story” on Instagram.
The installation is permanent and an expansion of it also is in the works. The Coconut Grove BID funded the light installation with cooperation from the City of Miami’s Department of Park and Recreation and the Office of Miami Commissioner Ken Russell. Entrance to the park is free.
