Kia Sorento X-Line AWD is a tough SUV that gets you there in style

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Kia Sorento X-Line AWD is rugged and luxurious.

It is a standout, which is a big deal when you figure there is a lot of competition out there.

The Kia Sorento X-Line stands above the competition for a few reasons including the fact that the X-Line is at the top of the trim lines. The manufacturer made it so you can add it to the SX Prestige version of this popular vehicle. The three-row SUV is so popular that it can be hard to find.

Let’s go through some of the features: This off-road capable SUV also has torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, center locking differential, capable roof rails for additional cargo, aggressive X-Line front and rear bumpers, exclusive matte black lower body cladding and unique wheels with all-season tires.

The eight-speed transmission vehicle gets 24 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

The base model is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates about 191 horsepower. The price is about $40,000, which is great when you factor in all the features.

The X-Line runs on a 2.5-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that generates a strong 281 horsepower experience. It tows about 3,500 pounds and has plenty of room in the back, especially since the third row drop down to make room for all kinds of great stuff including sports equipment, camping gear, coolers and just about everything else for an amazing tailgate.

With the all-wheel drive system, this SUV lets you drive confidently. The system is constantly monitoring the road conditions, distributing power across the wheels for enhanced traction and control.

On the outside you get well-detailed lines that give the car lots of personality, as does the tiger nose front, that is the signature face of this Sorento X-Line.

On the inside there are a lot of amenities that will make the entire family happy, including Bluetooth, wireless phone charging, navigation, rear view camera, mobile chargers for the three rows of seats and dual-zone climate control.

As always, I turned on the radio to get a feel for the interior on long drives and the sound was stupendous. It came from a Bose premium audio system that was crisp and clear throughout the vehicle.

There also is the Sorento hybrid to consider, which has got great punch and performance on both local roads and on the highway. If you are looking for a modern vehicle with lots of personality, then the 2021 Kia Sorento X-Line is the way to go.
