Seaside Summer is a month-long celebration of performing arts, drawing visitors and residents to North Beach, filling the month of July with a dense calendar of outstanding programs. The series will be held at the North Beach Bandshell, presented by The Rhythm Foundation in coordination with leading cultural partners. Seaside Summer will showcase Miami Beach’s North Beach neighborhood as a family-friendly summer cultural destination, in partnership with the district’s hotel and hospitality amenities. The Miami Beach Music Festival Orchestra takes over the Bandshell for a spectacular evening of patriotic music celebrating Independence Day. Sat. July 3 Miami Salsa Battle: Timbalive verzus N’Taya
A la batalla, as Miami’s Salsa, Timba & Changui Heavyweights Battle! Two popular salsa groups, the city’s best dancers, and a competition where everyone wins.

Sun. July 4 Beach Skate – Featuring The Love Below + Roller Skating Vibes
Warm up for the fireworks, as the Bandshell becomes a roller disco! The Love Below DJs will spin the best Miami bass and dance beats for your skating pleasure all day. The pros from the Roller Skate Vibes community also have some special moves to show off.

Fri. July 9 Orchestra Miami presents a Tribute to Astor Piazzolla
On Argentine Independence Day, Orchestra Miami celebrates one of Argentina’s most famous artists with an all-Piazzolla program. Joining the Orchestra will be special guests direct from Buenos Aires: guitar & vocal duo Rosa Incaica, and Bandoneón master David Alsina, conducted by guest conductor Andrés Cárdenes. Festa Julina – when the annual Brazilian midsummer festival extends into July – centers on the irresistible accordion-fueled dance rhythm known as forró (pronounced FO-HOH). Come enjoy live music, DJs, dancers, specialty foods and more. Presented by The Rhythm Foundation and Brazilian Nites.

Exploring the roots of Spain’s Ladino Jewish, Moorish and Gypsy cultures, Siempre Flamenco brings together a cast of international vocalists, guitarists, flamenco masters, and distinguished classical musicians, for an evening of music and dance. Presented by Siempre Flamenco

The Rhythm Foundation’s monthly program showcasing innovative artists from Miami’s live music scene – the July edition features Grammy-winning Latin Electronic producers XAXO and special guests.
Sun. July 18 MiMo Weekend – A Celebration of Mid Century Modernism
North Beach is home to two National Historic Districts, a treasure trove of MiMo (Miami Modern or MidCentury Modern). Enjoy the inaugural MiMo Weekend, when Miami Modern architecture is the focus, with walking tours, films, a vintage car show and surf rock performance by Gold Dust Lounge. Presented by Miami Design Preservation League and The Rhythm Foundation.
Fri July 23 Now Vs Now and TWYN
Mixing genres from hip hop to electronica to world music, Now Vs Now is led by Jason Lindner (composer, electronic musician, keyboardist on David Bowie’s final album, Blackstar) with
co-founding bassist, Panagiotis Andreou, and drummer Justin Tyson. Miami’s future-jazz duo, TWYN, is a collaboration between Electric Kif’s keyboardist, Jason Matthews & Lemon City Trio’s drummer, Aaron Glueckauf. Though both are trained jazz players who have dabbled in funk and hip-hop, neither is interested in applying their skills in the name of traditionalism.
They’re always pursuing innovative sound designs and different ways of performing technically complex music. Presented by The Rhythm Foundation.

Performing live in concert, the 19-year-old Chilean/Norwegian singer-songwriter Pablo Muñoz aka Boy Pablo, named by Pitchfork as one of the hottest new indie up-and-comers on the planet. Presented by The Rhythm Foundation and Mishu Music
Thurs July 29th – Candlelight Open Air: Nu Deco Nucleus performs a Tribute to Daft Punk After the heartbreaking announcement of the band’s separation, Candlelight pays tribute to Daft Punk with Nu Deco Nucleus, a smaller configuration of Miami’s 21st century orchestra Nu Deco Ensemble.

The 25th Annual Ballet Festival Of Miami presents their stars of tomorrow. Presented by Miami Hispanic Ballet Corp.
