Believe it or not, 2019 is behind us and we are now welcoming in the year 2020! Every New Year is an exciting time, as it presents us with a clearly defined opportunity to reflect on the years behind us, the year in front of us, and where we would like to be. It is a time to reflect and consider new goals and changes we would like to make.
As for myself, I want to continue to pursue greater relationships and a stronger sense of community here in the City of West Park. As I reflect on the past years serving as your Chief, I am grateful for the many inroads we have made in developing community partnerships, such as our newly formed Neighborhood Support Team. I am thankful for the many relationships we developed and enriched at our past community events, community meetings and simple meet-and-greets. In 2020, I am focused to continue to pursue these relationships and partnerships with you. Remember, we are your hometown law enforcement department, and I welcome you to stop by the station to meet my team.
Safety – the safety of our local children, schools and community is also a priority of mine this year. Please help us keep the neighborhood safe by reporting any suspicious activity, social media posts etc. via our new “See Something, SEND Something” SaferWatch Mobile App. You can download this app from your Google App store and /or the iTunes store. Also, remember you are welcome to join our C.O.P. unit. Contact our local station if you would like more information on how to join.
May the 2020 year bring much peace and opportunity to each of you! I look forward to yet another great year here in the City of West Park.
